Here's Nigerian Current Affairs featuring Nigerian History and profile of the First Nigeria President - Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. 

Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was the 1st President of Nigeria who was in office from October 1, 1963 – January 16, 1966. 
Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe (1904 -1996)

He was also the 3rd Governor-General of Nigeria from November 16, 1960 – October 1, 1963, preceded by James Robertson who succeeded by Himself as President

Zik as often called was the 1st President of the Senate of Nigeria who was in  office from January 1, 1960 – October 1, 1960  and was Succeeded by Sir Dennis Osadebey

He was Born on November 16, 1904 in Zungeru, in Kaduna Northern Nigeria.
He Died on May 11, 1996 at the ripped age of  91 in Enugu, Nigeria. 

Political party: He was an active member in the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons and Nigerian People's Party

Spouse(s) Flora Azikiwe  who died on August 1983) 

Children: Zik was blessed with 6 children, many grand and great grand children among whom are  Emeka Azikiwe, Nwachukwu Azikiwe, Uwakwe Azikiwe, Chuma Azikiwe, Ngozi Azikiwe, Molokwu

Education: Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe studied at Howard University, Lincoln University, University of Pennsylvania

He was a devoted Christian till death from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria.
