I’m not talking about forex here; rather, I’m talking about top 4 businesses that rock in Nigeria today. Yes! These businesses require less than a hundred thousand naira to start while you can recoup your whooping 1Million naira or more in just six months interval or less.

These ideas have a new-zero loss percent, meaning that the profit potentials are very high especially you are good at it.

Disclaimer: Please note that every business involves risk and a good business person is responsible for any risk that might arise from it and must be ready to take it. Hope there’s no gentlemen here, because we are ready to get our hands dirty so far we can make more money legitimately. If you don’t like this, better go and work a white-collar job (if is still available).

Don’t forget our target is to turn N100, 000 or less to 1Million Naira in six months period. This is a project. Isn’t it? It’s very much achievable and I will show you how.
Are you up to speed? Ok, let’s get started...with a different approach.

1. Move Seafood from Southern Nigeria to Eastern Middle-belt and Northern Nigeria.

Wow! This business is superb. The southern Nigeria is naturally blessed with diverse species of sea foods ranging from fishes, crayfish, snails, oysters, periwinkle etc. These sea foods are special ingredients to our day-to-day meal here in Nigeria and they are fairly cheap in the South South Nigeria because that’s where they are produced. The story is not the same in other part of the country like in Abuja. You can use as less as fifty thousand naira (N50, 000) to start this business. Simply visit places like Oron, Ibaka, Ibeno or Itu in Akwa Ibom State, and buy amply quantity of fish, crayfish or other sea food products at cheaper rate. Transport them to other parts of Nigeria and sell them triple the cost price. A whole basket of dried natural catfish is about N40,000 at Itu and you can sell this same quantity in Abuja and make over N150,000. The profit margin in this business depends on your sales location. Hope you’ll not tell me you are a graduate selling fish. You can make this a big business and employ people to work for you. This is a tested business but we’ve leaked it to you now.

How to start: locate a local market around you and make some enquires and market survey about your chosen seafood products. Make a first business travelling to strategic fishing ports in Akwa Ibom and do your research too. Compare the prices and work out your gain excluding transportation and begin it right away.

If you have a business mindset, it won’t even take you up to six months to make up to 1Million naira. You’ll hit the target in about 9 to 10 business trips. Here you go! Remember to tell us how it goes.

2. Move Agricultural Produce from Northern, Middle-Belt to Southern and Eastern Nigeria

This is almost opposite to point (1) above. Because of petroleum exploration in the Southern part of Nigeria, agriculture seldom thrives in that region. Because of this and many other reasons, most farmers in the Southern part of Nigeria resort to subsistence farming that cannot even cater for the families. Yes, the southern part of Nigeria produces fish and crude oil, they have more money, but they don’t have enough food such as rice, beans, yam, goats, maize, garri etc. For instance in Akwa Ibom State, all the aforementioned food products are brought from out the state majorly from the Northern part of Nigeria and Middle-belt region. Have you realized this yet?  You can exploit this market and make millions from it. According to personal interview I did with a garri dealer at Akapnandem market in Uyo, He said that he make over Three hundred Thousand naira (N300,000) as gain from one single trip from Koggi to Akwa Ibom State. Although, this business travelling is a bit cumbersome, the gain is enough to satisfy the merchant. This might be a nice business to start!!

How to Start: locate a local market around you and make some enquires and market survey about your chosen food and agricultural products. Make a first business travelling to strategic food markets in the Strategic locations in Northern Nigeria and Middle-belt region such as Benue State  and do your business research too. Compare the prices and work out your gain excluding transportation and begin it right away.

3. Move Palm Oil from Southern Nigeria to Eastern, Middle-belt and Northern Nigeria.

Oh! You don’t know? There’s no fruitful palm tree in Kaduna and environs except it’s a flower. Yet, they consume palm oil in their diets. Consumption of Palm oil is inevitable if you consider the nutritional benefits. It’s a potent source of vitamin A in the diets. Very few people, mostly local market women, are the one exporting palm oil from where there are readily available (Southern parts of Nigeria) to the Eastern, Middle-Belt and Northern Nigeria. There, these pal oil are used for various purposes – food and as raw materials for production of other processed foods and dairy products. There’s money here! In the rainy season, 20 liters of palm oil is sold at about three thousand Naira (N3,000) in Akwa Ibom State. From my market analysis, this same quantity is sold at N5,000 at Aba State, N6,000 at Anambra State, N7,000 at lagos, N8,000 at Abuja and N9,000 and Kano. The net profit starts at N2,000 depending on location of sales. A single lorry trip contains about one hundred 20-liters rubber of palm oil. So depending on the location you want to make your sales, a single trip can fetch you like three hundred to four hundred thousand naira (N300,000 – N400, 000), after settling for transportation. This might be a nice business to start!!

How to Start: locate a local market around you and make some enquires and market survey about palm oil supply. Make a first business travelling to strategic palm oil mills in the remote villages in Akwa Ibom and do your research too. Compare the prices and work out your gain excluding transportation and begin it right away.

4. Supply Building Materials to Various Construction Sites

Hey! This particular business has been monopolized by very few business tycoons for years. Don’t worry because I am leaking it today. You can make upto hundred thousand Naira (N100, 000) in a week from this business. You can even make more than that if you apply professionalism (bring education to bear). Building materials especially sands, gravel, stones, granites, cements, rods, PVCs, tiles are always in high demand in every construction site. You don’t have to be a mega dealer of these materials to make money from this business.  Also, you don’t need to own a tipper vehicle or a delivery van before you join this business. The good thing is that all these things; lorry, loaders, vans are rentable. You can rent them to do your delivery services. You can buy a trip of sharp-sand for N6, 000 depending on source and deliver it at the rate of N10, 000 – N11, 000 making a gain of N4, 000 per trip. If you can make up to 20 trips per day – you’ll go home with nothing less than N50, 000 after paying like N30, 000 for the truck. You can use less than a hundred thousand naira to start this business while you can make more than a million naira within six months of starting it.

How to Start: Simply develop a stong business model in this niche and add a bit of professionalism to it. If you are a graduate – better. Start your business research in this area, make valuable contacts – contractors, building material dealers, machinery rental services and make enquires. After that, register your business name and print a business card. In this business, you just need only one supply contract and you are good to go.
